Chris Brown is one of the best-selling artists on the planet. He's also wildly popular as a touring artist, and has an estimated net worth of $50 million. He's sitting pretty, financially speaking. Brown wants to further enhance his financial situation, however. The singer took to Instagram on Wednesday to admit that he's fully in support of Donald Trump's proposed IRS changes. Chris Brown not only endorsed the changes, but claimed that Trump should be put on the face of the "hundred dollar bill" if they actually go through.

Chris Brown reached out to his fans, questioning if they shared his views. "Is anyone else wishing for Trump to close down the IRS?," he inquired. "If he manages to do that, he deserves to be on the hundred dollar bill." However, his followers did not react positively to his statement. Many felt that the singer was displaying his celebrity privilege. "Just pay your taxes, man," one commenter pointed out. Others admonished Chris Brown for not thoroughly examining Donald Trump's suggested reforms. "As frustrating as taxes can be, they are essential for maintaining our country," another user remarked.

Chris Brown Once Slammed Trump in an Instagram Rant

Chris Brown's remarks regarding Trump "shutting down" the IRS are misleading. The newly elected President has indicated plans to reduce funding for the IRS and aims to put a halt to what he perceives as IRS "overreach," but this does not equate to a complete shutdown of the agency. Brown's relationship with Trump has been tumultuous, oscillating between support and criticism over the years. In September, he was photographed with a fan sporting a MAGA hat and reportedly said, "Tell Trump I said what's up!"
