Kelly Osbourne has voiced her concerns regarding celebrities who take advantage of the Los Angeles wildfires tragedy for their own self-promotion. She expressed her opinions in a recent social media post.

In a now-deleted Instagram video, Osbourne shared her thoughts regarding the wildfires and the celebrities reportedly taking advantage of the tragedy. “Is it me being my usual cynical self, or is it really disturbing to see all of these celebrities using other people’s pain and suffering as a photo op to say, ‘Look, I’m helping, I’m doing this, I’m doing that?” she said in the clip. Osbourne added that she believes people should help because they want to, not because they want attention for helping others.

According to Page Six, there was speculation by social media users that Osbourne was referencing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who made public appearances at disaster relief centers in Pasadena following the wildfires. There were photos of the couple hugging victims and donating goods to those impacted by the disaster. A source close to the couple said that Markle was reportedly offended by the criticisms since she is a Los Angeles native.

Celebrities like Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, Jamie Lee Curtis, and many others have taken various initiatives to support individuals impacted by the wildfires. The BeyGOOD foundation, founded by Beyoncé, committed $2.5 million to aid in recovery. Additionally, Jennifer Garner, Jessica Alba, and Jennifer Lopez have been heavily involved in relief activities.
